Catching Fire Chapter 1

In the first chapter of Catching Fire Katnis returns to District 12 where she meets up with Gale to go hunting. They talk and catch up on stuff, about how she has to go on the victory tour, and how the Capitol is making her go, and she has no other choice. After they talk Gale has to return to his work in the mines. Katnis then returns home to her new house in victory road because of her winnings in the hunger games. But when she returns home she comes across a special guest i her house, President Snow.

My Novel

As my Independent novel i have chosen to read the book Catching Fire. Last year I have read the Hunger Games but I never moved on with the series. I have heard many things about the series have chosen to ignore them until now. My first impressions of the book at the very beginning is that it is mostly dramatic, but the book is catchy. Certainly a lot less action then the first book . But it is also introducing a rebellion so I guess I just have to keep reading to find out what happens.

The Blind Side Summary

The Blind Side is true story about a Leigh Anne and Sean Tuohy who take into their homes a teenage African American who goes to Sean's school. His name is Micheal Oher or known as Big Mike for his size. Micheal was abandoned by his father long ago, he knows nothing about him. In the meantime his mother is a drug addict. Micheal has little education and few skills to learn and he has no one to turn to. But Leigh and Anne step in to help and try to turn his life around to be a successful individual. They provide Micheal with a caring home and skills to help Micheal academically wise, Micheal has nothing to return except his loving and funny personality and his passion for sports. Its up to you how Micheal turns his life around with Leigh's help and how he goes on from there.
